It's a first! We weren't the only parents to dress up at the Preschool Halloween Party!

It was Blanche's turn for her first Preschool Halloween Party.  She was so excited, plus it was her snack day.

Since I hadn't planned on dressing up this year, we seriously put these outfits together in one day (if you couldn't tell).  Blanche was so excited/embarrassed when we walked in!

my birthday that is (31!!), and if you are paying attention, here are some things I would like to have:

1.  Laser hair removal on my arm pits.  I think 20 years of shaving them every single day is long enough.

2.  Big photo canvases of my kids to hang on the empty wall in the hall.

3.  One glorious night of uninterrupted sleep:
no dog scratching at the door to go out,
no waking up with a full bladder,
no kids having bad dreams, growing pains in their legs, or wet underwear,
no husband nudging me,
just one full night of sleep...
I can almost imagine it!

4.  This perfume

5.  This nursing cover

or maybe this one.  I'm not sure.

6.  a big bowl of these mixed together

This is a real mish-mash of a post:

 

After we had our carpet cleaned, I felt the need to rearrange some stuff.

I made a new little collage of pictures.  These sage green walls will soon eventually be a beautiful greige. 

We moved the bookshelf to a new location and I switched up the stuff on top.  My mom just bought me that new sign and I love it.

Then I made a new spot for the kiddos to hang their school bags right at their level. 

Those three things pretty much took up all my energy for one day!

Hmmm, what else?

*I bought Brooklyn a cute new quilt for the pink big girl bed but I haven't taken a picture yet. 

*Did you know that Katy Perry used to be a gospel singer named Katy Hudson?  I listened to her on YouTube and kind of liked it!

*I'm going to take an 18 week preggo pic tomorrow.  I love that I'm about as far along as Kelly from Kelly's Korner so I can compare myself to her.

*My lovely son confessed to me tonight that he's been throwing away our spoons because he thought they were supposed to go in the garbage.  (But we keep forks?)

Gotta go, I just heard a voice shriek, "Mom, Brooklyn just peed on me!"  It never ends!

Saturday: last soccer game and the pumpkin patch

Soccer is over for the fall.  

Porter had a great last game with 5 goals!

We took a hay ride out to the patch.

Then we searched for the two perfect pumpkins.

It was a great day!

1.  No more Pull-Ups in this house!  Yay!  Just in time to start all over with newborn diapers!

2.  Moving up to a "B" in the bra world!  Woo-hoo, the joys of pregnancy!

3.  My wonderful husband setting up a carpet cleaning all on his own.  Now I guess I have to be nice to him!

4.  When my wonderful husband also starts on the living room painting and molding that he's been promising me! (I'm not complaining!)

5.  Little kiddos in warm footed jammies.

6.  Feeling this little baby bouncing around in my tummy!

Brooklyn says

Mommy: "We're going to the library.  Do you remember the rules?"

Brooklyn: "Yes.  No running around.  Stay right by Mommy.  No crying...And don't pick your nose."

16 whopping weeks
I swear, I've only gained 3 lbs!

Ugh, this dress looks like a nightgown, I'm hemming it tonight!

1.  removing all of the stickers from the fruit before I put them in a bowl

2.  having both of my kids' baby books completely up to date with appropriate pictures and captions for every important "first" in their lives  (Being pregnant is really encouraging me to get all the things organized that I've been putting off!)

3.  finally getting the bacon smell out of my house three days after Nate went on a binge.  

4.  hearing Blanche exclaim, "Oh, it's just what I've always wanted!"  after opening every birthday gift

The birthday weekend is officially over and this Mama is TIRED.  

Brooklyn enjoyed every minute of her bumble bee party so it was totally worth the work!
