Cheer Bear and the Tale of the Creepy Dresser

Okay, there's really no "tale"...just a before and after...and a pic of my cute little Care Bear.

This is how the $2 dresser began. It was haunted by mouse poop and spider webs. I was so anxious to get started, I took all of the drawers out and then realized I needed a picture.

I just decided I am done with painting with a brush. It takes too long and is really just a hassle. I'm not sure why I ever strayed from my beloved spray paint. This whole project took less than 2 cans of Krylon satin black.

Here is my new absolute favorite product. It just finishes things off perfectly and I love how it brings out the distressed areas. LOVE it! You hardly have to use any so this bottle will last a long time.

...after distressing and applying poly

Here it is...right when you walk in my front door.
Not bad for only $2 at a garage sale and about $5 for paint and poly.
Plus my mom bought it at the garage sale so I didn't even spend the $2.
Maybe I'll pay her $2.
I'm loving the added storage. (Nate says I can hoard more things now.)

This could be my best distressing ever.

Did I mention I love it?

Isn't it funny how we come upon someones blog through 500 other blogs that we happened to pass threw.
I really really really, did I say really, love your dresser and how you distressed it. Maybe if I find one like this I'll come back and ask you for step by step instructions!!
