The Multitasking Halloween Costume

Today was a huge day in the Barnes Yard. Three words: Porter's Snack Day. For those of you not in the preschool crowd, this is the day where a child gets to bring snacks for the class, set the tables, sit in a very special chair, and hear the other children repeat his/her name three times when asked "whose snack day was it today?" I know, Porter and I have been looking forward to this since the first day of school way back in September. Maybe me even a little bit more than him...anyway the theme of the day was Indians (not the kind actually from India, but the Native American kind). Preschool isn't as politically correct as the rest of the country. The snack Porter brought included Buckskin bread, Gorp, dried fruit, and deer jerky. He also brought milk to drink even though the Indians probably didn't drink that. After I dropped Porter off, his teacher remembered that he was an Indian for Halloween and thought he could also be an Indian today, so guess who got up in the attic to bring the costume to school? Me, the best mom ever.
