Photo Valentines for bigger kids

I've been in love with the photo valentine since the first time I saw the one of the kid holding a sucker, and each year I've tried to one up it.  This year was a stretch because now that I have a 5th grader, I feel like we've done everything.

Brooklyn  knew that she wanted to give out some type of mini eraser, so we searched "mini erasers" on Amazon and found these teeny tiny flip-flops.  She came up with the pose and the saying.  At first we tried to glue the erasers directly on her feet with rubber cement, but they kept popping off, so this was our last minute fix to the problem-little bags and washi tape.  They still turned out pretty cute.

Since Porter is in 5th grade, and you know, super cool, it's harder to get him to agree to any of my ideas.  Basketball is his #1 sport so he humored me by posing in his jersey.  I made it as non-lovey as possible for him, because that's disgusting

Preschool Valentine Party

Today the preschoolers were spreading the love with a Valentine exchange.

Gus and his standard lip-bite smile and green "hulk fingernails".

He loves having Aunt Lo-Lo for his teacher.
By the third kid, I've kind of run out of original ideas for Valentines.  Gus is currently loving Star Wars so we did the old Pinterest glow stick light saber, but put our own twist by dressing him up as Yoda for the card.  I love how they turned out!

Kid Valentine Ideas

The me that used to only have 2 kids would definitely have had Valentines designed and ready to deliver by February 1st...but the me now...yeah, just started thinking about it and cruising around Pinterest.  I do know that this year we will include Tic Tacs (for the teachers) and glow sticks (yep, we have a Star Wars lover), but not sure what else.  And basically once your son hits 5th grade, he thinks V-day is gross and all your ideas are stupid...at least in my neck of the woods.

This is what we came up with last year:

Any cute ideas you wanna pass along for me?
