I need party theme ideas

Gus' 3rd birthday is fast approaching.  Can you believe it?!  I'm slacking on the planning because I'm stumped on finding a theme.  He loves Caillou and Thomas the Train, but I'm not sure I want to have a party theme of either of those.  What about pirates?  Help me out.

 First birthday-Sock Monkey
Second birthday-St. Patrick's

    Does he like basketball? Since his birthday is in March, you could do a March Madness theme! It could be fun for the adults and the kids!

    We had a Thomas party and it was SO much fun to put together. I haven't blogged about it yet but I made it more of a "vintage" Thomas theme. There are tons of ideas out there for train parties!
