overheard in the Barnes Yard

 summer morning

BBB: "Why do you like Gus so much?"

Mommy: "Well...he doesn't scream at me, hit me, or tell me no."

BBB:  "Well we would be better if you just teached us how to act.  How are we supposed to know, we're just kids!"
